FAO: Glen - Need help with my Parrot CK3000 Hands-free kit

Anybody can help on this obviously by Alistair said Glen knows these systems back to front!

Just installed a Parrot CK3000 hands free kit into my Astra, but whenever I'm driving the car, my Pioneer headunit is constantly switching between Mute and normal. I know it goes to mute when the Parrot system wants to say something or when I get a call, but I just think its odd. Sometimes it even has a spasm on the headunit display and flickers between the track that is playing and Mute, so its just a mush of information on the screen :?

My phone is an HTC Desire, not sure if the system isn't compatible with the phone or what lol

I've used one of the mute wires already, this didn't work, so I'm onto Mute Input 1, Mute Input 2 is also available for use, if this makes any difference or helps problem solving!

Thanks Glen and anybody else in advance!

Jonny.

hi there

first u need to buy some budgy seed for your parrot

secound thing is what software is running on your parrot ( look in the information part in settings )

if the radio keeps muteing while driving for e.g turning around the corner , jumping off bridges or just noraml drivinng

there are a few things it could be

1 you have one or two muting wires in the radio and when ever you move the car about the wire is going to earth making the radio come up with a mute

2 your sot lead muteing lead is faulty ( unless your useing the normal parrot lead )

what type of astra is it ???

are you useing the lead that comes with the kit or are you useing the line out wires

ring me if you need me

Hi Glen, massive apologies for not replying for ages, but I eventually managed to sort it! For some reason Mute 1 and 3 were having issues with my headunit, Mute 2 turned out to be the correct cable, all works fine now! Paid for itself within the first day, had several phone calls in the car, bloody brilliant piece of kit! Thanks for your advice though, much appreciated!! Jonny.
