It has been revealed as him before a few times. In fact Clarkson even mentioned it in the show once saying "a newspaper claimed that the stig was a bloke from Bristol". However.. it is not always him - and that is the beauty of the stig persona. Sometimes they will use other drivers, but of course if they look too obviously different then they are referred to as "Stig's cousin" etc. Heikki Kovalainen for example drove as The Stig in a formula one car, and some other bloke drove a skidoo as the Stig in the "Winter Special".
