I think it was more the car that won her round rather than me. She wasn't overly impressed with my purchase up until the point that she saw it/went for a ride in it, now she loves it. All good, I'll need that support when the car need's money throwing at it.

Mike - was in exactly that position. The gf wasn't that excited about it, but when she saw it and went out in it (and also found it more comfortable as a passenger than the Mini) she came around. Good thing too, as that patience with it will get tested when you're spending money on the car rather than on holidays away together

Worth being aware of the D relationship curse though - more than one breakup on here has been shortly preceded by the purchase of a DeLorean (mine above included). I'm sure you'll be fine. The bloke she ran off with probably had more to do with the breakup than the car
