Hope you don't mind, I thought I'd post some updates on my Brickling re-furb progress.

So far I've:

Re-wired the doors / replaced the main rams and tested using an external pump to pressurise the tank.

Replaced a faulty Holly Carb with a new Edelbrock 600cfm quad barrel unit.

So today I started stripping down the front of the car to replace a leaking radiator and give me access to install an electric air compressor for the doors.

I think I've found the problem with the Air con too!

Bastard child of a TR7 and a Delorean, with a bit of shower tray thrown in for good measure.

Bit more progress today.

Looks like a PO took a cutting torch to the light actuator mounts for some reason

Hi Manx,

Thats a York A/C Compressor. Looks like it's thrown a rod. Usually by running with no gas and lost oil. I'd check the pressure switch before you fit a new one.

Used on Astons...

and on my V8

I can refurb them if you want......but not your old one as it's definately had it!

And here was me thinking you where up for a challenge!

Thanks Darren, I'd been doing a bit of research myself. I suspect the damage was done many years ago, the car has was sat in a museum for the last 20years!

When it happened the PO, or should that be POS, removed a number of other air-con related items. At the moment I'm going to skip re-instating the air-con and concentrate on the big ticket items need to get her on the road.

Now if your offering to rebuild the 727 Torqflite for me :)

Headlight actuators are vacuum and look similar to my corvette ones.

Hey Dan, they should they're exactly the same!

Turns out the hatchet job on the lights might actually be a factory recall, they did this to upgrade the lights on the original cars
