Why is there a Bentley Turbo R with British plates sitting outside my local chemist shop?

The same car was at the local B&Q place yesterday too.

Yes, thats a Georgia plate, but it's about a year old. But the owner may just have transferred it from another vehicle

Forgot to note earlier that this is also a LHD car. Which is odd if its just been imported from UK.

Bizzare :?

The car is a 1994 on Turbo R (you can tell by the rear valance and bumper shape) the wheels are 96, but fit earlier cars so it's not definative.

The font on the plate is GERMAN, not British.

The registration is 1971.

A real mess.

It's most probably a guy who likes British cars with little knowledge of our numberplates who likes to display a "UK" number; similar to Brits with a Yank car who display American plates with little regard for accuracy.

Wasn't there a fad for a few years in the early 90s for using all sorts of fonts and scripts on plates, before they really stamped it out? I recall unintelligible ones in almost-cursive.

I'll have to stalk the owner the next time and see what's what. What!

It's funny as they just started re-running an old Grey Poupon ad here at the weekend.
