I sold my corvette this morning and the guy came to collect it and got chatting about cars and I said I used to have a Delorean, he said 'blimey we used to have one of those about 10 years ago.... hmm they are a bit ropey arent they' Once I agreed and he realised I didn't have rose tinted glasses for them he said 'they are abosulutly terrible bloody things, and that john delorean was a right con man as well. Awful things.'

Did make me chuckle!

I'm sorry you had to let the corvette go.. Any particular reason (except money)?

How far did you get with the Vette? Did you ever get it running and on the road?

I didnt get very far with it in the end. It needed so much time spending on it and I knew it would never end and keep un earthing more problems. It was bodged up over the years again and again, and to do it properly it would need a total strip down and rebuild and a lot of money spending on parts. So I just cut my loses and sold it as a project.

Sounds like a DeLorean to me.

Yeah. The build quality was quite bad as well, although I don't think it was as bad as a delorean.
