There seems to have been a bit of a restoration going on; apparently this was the barn find status some years back (un-fortunately photo undated)

so what's the story with the chassis pictures in the above link - did someone rebuld it from essentially nothing?

Darren C wrote:The other car is a 1933 20/25 but without the chassis number all I can tell you is it looks like a Thrupp and Maberly “D” back Limousine. This wouldn’t have been the original colours, far too garish. But very nice nevertheless.

It's GTZ56

and it had a nice storyboard with it

Well guys, you've really put the pressure on me now. Apparently I have to acquire a DeLorean huh? I thought I was pretty futuristic with the 1905 Woods Electric I just bought (only one in the world btw) but I see now that it won't cut it.

I guess it's time to go shopping again..... ;)

This is the Woods Electric. It is the only one remaining, from a company that produced very fine cars at the turn of the century in Chicago. New, this car cost $3000 - a princely sum in 1905 (the Silver Ghosts pictured earlier in this thread were around 800 pounds (chassis only). The Woods company went on to produce hybrids in about 1910. We have not come very far since.
