Was a pleasant surprise to see Richard pop on the screen tonight.

Unfortunately his robot seemed to have a few technical issues leading to it being knocked out in the first round.

Well done Richard! Looks like Martin G was on the team... If my memory serves me correctly this robot appeared on Robot Wars before? Or came to close to it?

I was very loosely involved in Mechanoids, which was a lauable series which also involved robots. my contribution was mainly beer drinking and occasionally coming up with an idea or two. Whilst I didn't do anything on Draven, apart from driving it around chewing up washing machines during a beer fuelled science expo in Dublin, I have to say i have a lot of respect for the teams who build these things, they are increasibly powerful and complex machines. Very hard to understand the power and scale from the TV show.
