I don't think Friday is feasible. It would have to be Sat a.m. - leave at 9pm, there for 90 minutes, back at 1pm, or Sunday - same time.

I reckon if it's a choice between Saturday and Sunday go for Sunday. Might encourage people to make a bit more of the weekend. And it's not like leaving at 1pm means you get home super late...

I wouldn't mind a tour around the Lotus place, but i'd rather see a friday than a sunday; because I need to be out of the country before 1pm to get back home on time (i plan on taking the tunnel back).

Not wishing to get anyone's hopes up - the chance of us actually doing a Lotus visit at all this year is fairly unlikely, but we'll see what they say. Lotus don't "just let you in" for nothing. Last time we went there was a cost involved of £80 per person, just to get in. Plus the club had to arrange/pay for a special insurance policy to protect the Lotus company from liability from our crap cars on their track. And this number was based on a high attendance - i.e. 25 cars.
If we forget the track element then we can do away with the insurance headache and reduce the cost by half, but normally they aren't open to the public on any other day than Wednesday, so we will still have to convince them that they love DeLoreans! :D - and we'll likely need to convince ourselves to part with £50+ each including fuel to go over there.

Ouch that is rather steep.. For that money i'd rather spend the day in the car park with drinks and other owners with drinks.

Back in 2009 I contacted Lotus about a club visit while on a rally. £80 per person for a room overlooking the track, no factory tour and bring your own FOOD and DRINK ! (quote based on 60 people and 45 cars)

Lotus are not exactly endearing themselves to enthusiasts and car clubs, unlike other manufacturers who welcome you with open arms

I say stuff them.
