#FINISHED Official Carvery Convoy (and RackTec)

TT suggested a Sunday carvery at Caley...and the more we thought about it the better idea it seems, I think everyone likes to drive in a convoy, but we all usually arrive/leave at different times...I think it would be good to maybe get 6/7 cars etc if we can.

Chris Spratt is up for it - after we sort out Frostrobo this Sunday.

So plan is to all drive in a convoy to Caley for a carvery, take a walk on the beach, get an ice cream etc then drive home, plus Alex is mad on a carvery so keeps her happy...we were toying with the idea of going somewhere like Southend or something...but traffic will be busy and food prob crap...lol

So far we have

TT
Me
Spratty

So basic plan is Ely in the morning for RackTec then onto HQ for slap up meal and entertainment, provided by TT ;)

So far we have....

1) Arran
2) Chris
3) Al
4) Dan
5) TT - TBC

Gez would attend but as I understand it he has date with an OAP in a Mini on Sunday

Anyone else care to join us at Arran's or even in Ely for RackTec, calm down Mr Admin Bloke no racks will be on show or harmed , just add your name to the list

You about Tyson with your good lady, Pete and your better half, Alan, Carl..anyone else that's not too far or don't mind the drive?

What's the time scale for lunch Arran? Bearing in mind its around an hour from Ely to yours, providing the traffic is OK.

Sounds like a plan then. So RackTec is defo on?

Talking to Al before he wanted a long decent convoy - I think what he was thinking was something along the lines of driving in formation all the way from Ely for example.

Simon - are you up for it? Nothing like safety in numbers! :D - although I suppose your car won't be "on the road"?

Regarding lunch timings - up to you really. I would suggest eat at 2pm-ish - but I can go with the flow. Parking is going to be a nightmare whatever you do. I can get 5 cars in my little house car park though if need be.

An hour from Ely on a Sunday in August?! :o Good luck! ;)

Everyone is welcome - whether you go via Ely or not! Who's up for it then?! :dmcdoors:

This Sunday! Kind of a last minute thing!

RackTec: viewtopic.php?f=41&p=17886#p17886 (no idea of the details).

Followed by convoy

Arrive at Old Hunstanton at (and I am only guessing) sometime around 1:30-ish??!?

Eat

Go Home

Chris - you got any idea on RackTec timings?

Well was hoping to be at Simon's place by 10am and now looking like just a removal job so should only take an hour or so with tea breaks ;) so hopefully arrive at HQ around 13:00 give or take half hour :)

OK - that's a date then. Either meet up at Ely at 10am for rack-tec, or by 11am for the convoy, or at pre-designated markers en-route, or just get to Old Hunstanton for 1pm-ish - ready to eat maybe 1:30-2pm or thereabouts.

1 big table, Sunday carvery, loads of food, usual price 8-) - everyone welcome!
