If it happens it will certainly happen on the first weekend in November - i.e. 4th November. I'm just not ready to announce it "officially" as yet, and I can't predict when I will be in a position to announce it at the moment.
To confirm - it will either be the weekend of 4/5 Nov, or it won't happen at all. But I would say that it is very likely to happen - very likely indeed.

I would be a shame if this might actually be the same day of my father's birthday, which actually is confirmed.

IF it goes ahead, and really I can't see why it won't, then you can assume that there will be a fireworks display. And it will be good!
