Hi Ollie,

That's because the almanac changed the timeline in 1955 right upto 1985 when Doc & Marty discovered it (to everyone else it was reality) They then went back to 1955 and took the almanac back, so when old Biff returned to 2015 the time line had been changed already (back in 1955) The alternate timeline only existed/ran until 1985 when it was discovered and reset. That's why Biff is not sucessful.

To be honest i still had to read your explanation through a few times for it to make sense. I'm not sure out of all of the films that's the bit i question :lol:
