Cheers Arran it was a good day out, despite problems early on with a TAB failure, both cars made it albeit a couple of hours late.

New TABs already posted out via the club, excellent service as usual! :dmcdoors:

Great pics, hope it was a nice day

I cringed at the wheel pic, I thought it had met a curb at first :( Is this quite common?

TAB failures are very common if they haven't been replaced. But it is such a common thing to have replaced as "routine", most seem to have had them done already.

Chuff Mike, it's a good job you spotted that before you drove it!

It happened en-route to the show Nick. Lucky it happened where it did and at relatively low speed, if it had gone 10 metres further the car would have come to a halt on a single track bridge.

I was following behind, I thought John had slammed the anchor's on at first when I saw his back end squirreling around, it wasn't until I pulled up behind him that I saw the rear wheel poking out at an angle.

All sorted now though, the TABs from the club arrived today and have been fitted.

Wow! Glad it's all ok now.

Is there an easy way to check these parts to ensure that they have been replaced? I'm guessing that there are 3rd part replacements as the originals have this fault?

Anything else dangerous like this I should be checking  ;)

TABs, lower ball joints, lower control arms, all of which are still original on mine
