Yes please Arran, book us in, £90 doesn't break the bank.

Do we need to register with Raphael as well or is that taken care of?

Raphael needs some basic information from everyone, which I am hoping to get some of to him on a spreadsheet to save time - although in your case I don't think I have it. You will also need to pay 80 Euros per person via a PayPal fee-free transfer, or by international bank transfer. See a previous post on this thread for a PayPal link. So far just me,Lauren,Alistair,Alex,Julian,Lisa,DanK,Justin,Ben have paid Raphael. He would like everyone to pay soon so he knows he has a commitment to numbers. He will have to limit the final number because he is concerned about capacity.
But yes, he currently has the names of all 18 of us. You will need to pay him via the PayPal link, but if you want to give me or him the information it doesn't matter which one.

The information he will need is:
- e-mail address (I will be sending him everyone's that I have on file)
- street address ( (I will be sending him most of these - if I have on file and am confident you haven't moved) (this excludes you Rich)
- estimated dates of arrival/departure (leave to me - not you Richard)
- if you come with a delorean or by plane (leave to me)
- Tshirt size (I obviously don't know any of these).

He would also like some feedback about whether anyone would like to do the surfing activity mentioned on the Saturday - I don't have any other information on this, but it is in this thread to some extent.

I'll let you know about accommodation shortly/later Rich - it's in hand. Please remember this accommodation is "basic". No sheets and no towels..!

Thanks Arran for the summary.

About the activities on saturday, we offer several options :

- a surf lesson with a local school coached by professionals. cost is 20€, we have already 10 registered
- a stand-up-paddle lesson with the same school ( 18€ )
- a scenic tour for those who prefer to drive and explore the country ; we will organize a convoy to the "Pyla Dune", the highest sand dune in europe  http://www.ladunedupilat.com/
- you can stay home of course if you prefer : with about 35 cars expected, we'll have a lot of work, and Chris has many cars to fix. I will stay home myself to take care of the mechanics. there is a heated pool too....
- you can simply enjoy the beach, have a beer and watch friends surfing.

that is for men. about girls, Emmanuelle is offering a few possibilities ;
- any of the above activities
- going to the spa/pool : http://www.thermes-dax.com/sourceo/
- shopping either in Biarritz or in Bordeaux (in this case, you should know that both cities are around one hour driving far from Raph's place)
- or something else if you have different wills like a Yoga lesson

I put some general infos and updates on the facebook page ; https://www.facebook.com/events/1781310 ... _tab=posts
you can find a summary of the program, activities there in both french and english.
feel free to ask if you need more informations.

My contact and paypal adress is raphael.ferdani at gmail dot com

see you soon !

Update - everyone has paid (not for car hire yet, not sorted) - there are 15 of us from the UK going.

Accommodation - please note you will need to bring sheets (or sleeping bags) and towels.

Car hire - not sorted yet, I don't fancy driving, and as before am happy to pay more to subsidise the driver(s) not paying. We will need hired transport for 12 people - I think that will end up being a 7 seater and a normal car. The way I see it - 10 of us pay for the hire and fuel, the 2 drivers don't pay.
So far no-one has volunteered, but I hear a rumour that Tony might be interested, if that is the case we still need another.

15 People going - all flying, all have flights booked:

Arran
Lauren
Alistair
Alex
Julian
Lisa
Richard (arrive late Friday night, own car hire)
Sarah (arrive late Friday night, own car hire)
Tony
Jason
Graham (leaves early, some time on Saturday)
Spratty
Carl
Dan S
Chris N (arrive separately, own car hire)

For those flying, the flight we're all is going to be on (unless mentioned different above) is the Easyjet flight from Luton on Thursday 29 Sept (13:30/16:10) - return Sunday 2 Oct (16:35/17:15).
