Yes it's back!



This event is taking place across the weekend of Fri 7 and Sat 8 June 2019 in Norfolk.

As with the highly successful sell-out EuroTec events in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 ,2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, not to mention the other so-called "mini-meets" this will be based in the pretty county of Norfolk, this time at the same new location, still close to the Royal Family's home at Sandringham - on the edge of the town of King's Lynn.

The hotel is http://www.dragonflykingslynn.co.uk/ . Accommodation is not exactly 5 star, but the hotel has a large tarmac car park and has recently been fully refurbished. There are 50 rooms in total.

Attendance at these events is always high, always sells out, and over 20 DeLorean cars are expected this time.

As with the previous big events here, this will be a guaranteed sell-out, space is very limited and NO rooms are being held by the hotel for this event, but there is a special rate if you book and pre-pay right now. Once this offer expires you will have to book direct with the hotel, and at the higher rates only, and only if they still have availability. Strong interest has already been shown again for this event, as before there is NO charge for the event itself, just the cost of food, drink and accommodation. Previous years have been attended by 30-40 DeLoreans.

The basis of the weekend will be around 'Workshop / Tech sessions' throughout the weekend, as well as socialising and meeting new faces. As before we will take over the **24-hour** bar for the weekend

This is a good way to meet up with like minded people and swap tips. For non-owners there will be more time to ask questions, look around the cars, etc.


The Itinerary:
- Arrive Friday from 14:00 onwards.
- Socialise, congratulate those who've braved the Norfolk roads in their DeLoreans
- dinner at the hotel - price £10-£15 - informal
- Beer etc. (the bar is open 24 hours)
- Sleep(?)
- Saturday - Breakfast (included)
- Hang around car park kicking tyres
- Tech session
- 1.30 Lunch at "Arbuckles", local large popular restaurant nearby
- 3.00 Tech session
- Bar
- dinner at the hotel - price £10-£15 - advance order might be needed nearer the time
- Beer etc. (the bar is open 24 hours)
- Sleep
- Sunday - Breakfast (included)
- Go home

Current phone-in room prices including breakfast: To obtain these rates you will phone the hotel and quote the "DeLorean" group and ask for these rates - let me know if you have problems getting these prices
Single: £82 for Friday night, £72 for Saturday night
Double/Twin: £87 (per room) for Friday night, £77 (per room) for Saturday night

Food prices:
Friday night - £10-£15 approx. (exact details are t.b.c.)
Saturday lunch - up to you
Saturday night - £10-£15 approx. (exact details are t.b.c.)

So a typical couple staying for 2 nights can expect to pay just £41 per person per night, including breakfast. Yes I know it's cheap!


If you would like to come along for just the day on Saturday only then you're more than welcome - you'll just have to pay for lunch and/or dinner if you want it. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE BOOKED DIRECT SO I CAN BOOK YOU IN FOR DINNER/LUNCH ETC. TOO. - The hotel are unlikely to tell me. Any method will do - either message or email me, or post on here - in either case I just need to know how many people and which days.

Once this hotel is filled the nearest alternative would probably be the Premier Inn in Kings Lynn.

Hello, I live in the Netherlands and like to visit this event with my DeLorean. However it does get expensive traveling by myself. So if anybody wants to travel with me let me know. Have not booked any tunnel or ferry so I am open to suggestions.

Hi guys.

So im having trouble getting my car started. It could be the starter but it could also be something the PO has fiddled with. I have a switch wired up to one of the relays, bits seem to be missing but im not sure and a crappy alarm with 7 or so wires going everywhere which i still need to follow.

My question is (as alistair mentioned) if i trailer my car to the meetup can i call on your expertise to get the damn thing running if ive not already got it running by june? I hear you lot like a challenge and ill make sure there will be at least a few drinks in it for you as a small token of my appreciation.
