Ive been speaking with Alistair and we're both in agreement about finding a different venue for the essex meets. Not only is the traffic a nightmare for at least one of us every time, the food isnt that great either and the staff keep interrupting conversations and forgetting things.
So, we are looking at the chelmsford area currently. The town center is pretty much a no go as whilst there are plenty of places to eat, none of them have a car park.
I did spot this pub whilst i should have been working earlier but not had the chance to have a proper scout via google maps. Big car park, and food looks good. Its the Horse & Groom...

I think if we can find somewhere similar to the basingstoke meets, then we are on to a winner.
Does anyone have some suggestions or knows any nice places we can hold these meets? Ideally that can be reached without using the A12, serves food and has a decent car park? I dont have an issue driving long distance but the A12 is consistently a pain and getting worse.

But like the idea of a change of venue, there are probably quite a few places we could go dotted around Essex, perhaps it will become a monthly tour of the region!
TBH the Bungalow Diner is much more fun if you go on a meet night when other car groups are there.
