"OctoberTec Weekend 2025"
This event is taking place across the weekend of Fri 3 and Sat 4 October 2025, based at the Holiday Inn to the west of Peterborough
As with the highly successful sell-out EuroTec events every year since 2006, not to mention the other so-called "mini-meets" this will be based in the east of England, this time for a change in a hotel just outside of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.

For this meet, the focus here is on socialising. If you've never been before don't be scared! Many people who come to these meet-ups only know one or two others (or less). This is a good way to meet up with like minded people and swap tips. Attendance at these events is always high, and many DeLorean cars are expected this time as usual.
Room rate
Standard double – single occupancy - £100 per night
Standard double or twin – double occupancy - £110 per night
Price includes breakfast, and use of leisure facilities including swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fully equipped gymnasium
All rooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities and TV
Check-in times
Check-in is from 3pm on the Friday
Check-out is by 11am on the Sunday
Meals
A buffet style breakfast is included for everyone on the Saturday and Sunday mornings
On the Friday evening, there will be a 2-course curry buffet priced at £25pp. And on the Saturday evening there will be a 2-course pizza buffet priced at £25pp (These are payable at the hotel and will not show on your reservation) – Everyone will opt in by default, but If for any reason you want to opt out of either of these, please contact Darren Hirons and let him know (contact details below). If you do not opt out at least 7 days before the event, you will be charged for this. Please could you also let him know if you have any allergies or any dietary requirements so we can ensure you are catered for.
On the Saturday afternoon we are planning an optional drive out to Burghley House near Stamford: https://burghley.co.uk/
The location has free parking, gardens, shops cafes etc nearby. There is also an option to take a tour of house though this is at your own cost.
Those who want to can venture into the town itself which is a short drive or a 30 mins walk away.
For any other food/snack requirements there is lobby restaurant and bar in the hotel. There is also a nice-looking pub 5 mins walk away called the ‘Woodman’ which looks to do nice food too.
Bar
The hotel bar is open till midnight, and this can be extended for residents, so no early bar closing! If we fancy a change of scenery the Woodman pub is only a 5 mins walk away, which is open till 11pm too.
Parking
Parking is free (if you are part of the block booking Fri-Sun). You just need to enter your registration on arrival at reception to ensure you are not charged.
There is a reasonable sized car park holding 250 cars. They said it would be difficult to reserve us a block of spaces but there should be plenty of space and those getting there early can try and grab an appropriate section of the car park.
If you see something in your confirmation email about a £15 parking fee, please ignore it. This does not apply to our group booking.
Payment
No deposit is required. Full payment will be required when you arrive at the hotel
For people staying from Friday to Sunday, the price per single person would be £225 and the price per couple/twin would be £270 for the weekend (both prices include the Friday night curry. (Deduct £25 if you want to opt out)
Booking
To reserve your place for OctoberTec, please visit the following link which has been specially created for the event. It will automatically populate the dates and give you two Delorean group room options.

Firstly, before you choose a room type, be sure to select the right number of guests. The link will always default to 1 guest. If you are sharing, please change this to 2 guests.
NOTE: when you change the number of guests to two, the price on the site will not change. Just be aware that there is a charge of an additional £10 per night for two person occupancy
Once you have selected the number of guests:
Please choose Queen if you would a double room
Please choose Superking Double if you want a twin room and please type ‘TWIN ROOM’ in the Special Request section (you have to click on the text for the box to open) This is so they can separate the superking bed into two single beds.
Upon going through the booking process, you will be asked for credit card details. This is just to hold your room. You will not be charged anything at this point. After booking, you will receive a confirmation email.
Cancellations
After booking, if you need to cancel for any reason, you can do this by clicking the ‘modify or cancel reservation’ button at the bottom of your confirmation email.
To not incur a charge, you must cancel before 4.00PM on Thursday 2nd October
Extending your stay
If anyone wants to come on the Thursday (which a few usually do) you can do this by contacting the hotel directly and booking at the normal rate (currently £96 at time of writing this).
If you do want to extend your stay, please phone up the hotel and book the extra day. Be sure to tell them you are part of the Delorean group booking and tell them you want a room for the Thursday and you want to keep the same room throughout your stay. If you do this, they will ensure that you don’t have to change rooms
