I'm definately up for this - looks like a good one. It's about time we all did a proper road trip! Hopefully this won't clash with Shanefest - assuming they are doing something again in September?

this sounds like fun, i,m glad it's in september it will give me a bit of time after eurotec to sort all the faults that occurred on the way home :D

Are we going to start a book on who will break down first or actually make it to luxemburg?

Tom the D's will be fine. When we went to Holland last year none of them missed a beat and did nearly 900 miles in 3 days. Dammit I wish I could join you on this trip. :( There is the french one in may too if anyone's going?

From Belfast in reverse order...:

Dusseldorf or Eindhoven (Ryanair via Stansted)

Nearer still is Cologne/Bonn (Easyjet via Gatwick) - 2 hours drive away

Or... Luxembourg! (British Airways via Gatwick) - 30 minutes away

My research indicates that the best available method in your case is Easyjet to Gatwick, then BA to Luxembourg

just done a google earth search and looked at the miles for this one and i was quite happy its only 205 mile as the crow flys from eurotunnel entrance france side to luxemburg.we done more than that when we went to holland i really cant wate for this one.
when we done the rally last year we stopped in a travel lodge for £45 a night in dover and waited for everyone to arrive the night b4 .we all had a drink and a laugh before we set off.

Thats sounds like a cunning plan Tys, especially the drinking part
