Yep - as much of a surprise to me as anyone else. I was supposed to hear from the manufacturer when they'd received the wire, which was due in in the first week of April. Instead, they just deliver the completed order! Can't really complain - lucky I was in though!

Ready to ship immediately.

Hi Martin,

Regarding : viewtopic.php?f=66&t=332&p=27206&hilit=Springs#p27206

One of my 'DeLorean Motors UK' springs has fractured (5 years old) and I need to replace.

Apart from the price, what's the difference between your springs mentioned in the link above (Ed's delorean.eu springs 177.99Euros / £157.32) and your own £99 springs ?

And are they better than the springs a bought 5 years ago from 'DeLorean Motors UK'.

Kind Regards Simon

To Simon,

I don't think Martin comes on here much so try contacting him direct from his website.
It will probably be much quicker.

Hope you get the spring sorted soon.

I have a set of them but the car still sits a bit high for my liking, and am changing to Eds to get a lower look.

I think the springs 5 years ago were sourced in the UK and there has been numerous failures, at least two nearly catastrophic the ones Martin sells now he has had made to spec

Simon - you do realise "DeLorean Motors UK" was Martin's 'business' (before it closed, reopened as a limited company under another name with a new partner, then closed again), so they are one and the same?!
Martin has a "day job" now, and hasn't been on here for a couple of weeks now, but you can email him by clicking here: memberlist.php?mode=email&u=101

The springs on your car now are well known for not lasting. I have heard nothing but good reports about Ed's springs, and certainly the only height issue with Ed's is that they are "too low" for some people's taste. If, as I understand, you want the low low look, then this is the best option, in my opinion.

I knew Martin was part of DMUK, I was just asking whether his new springs were an improvement on the old DMUK springs (Perhaps I should have worded my email a little better :-).

Many thanks guys for your advice/feedback. Well that has sold it to me. Ed's springs it is ... I'm ordering right now :-)
