Hi all ...

time to put some photos of the quite finished job on my car... now with a twin turbo engine i did built from scratch 8-)

I purchased the car in February 2007 and did a lot of things during this years. The car was mecanically good, but i did a lot of works just for fun  I started as usual from little things and then the more i did the more i learnt...
On the end of 2008 i did my first frame off, just for checking the conditions of the frame and taking out the engine wich needed an head gasket job. I did rebuilt the original engine and gave it a bit more hp with a DMCH exhaust and some other trick on the injection ( volvo gear etc )

I had some fun with the original engine for more than an year ^^ but soon discovered the brakes and suspension limits...
So i did a pair of other little jobs on the car 8-)

This winter i decided to galvanise the frame for being the last time to make a frame off ^^

And then endind with putting in a new engine...

I grew up a passion for the PRV engines the more i learnt about them... so i started for looking around, and found a turbo 2.5lt Z7U730 from an Alpine GT Turbo and a 2849cc Z7W efi from an Espace to play with.
So this winter i started the twin turbo project with the 2.5 Z7U engine...

This way a lot easier to work on the engine...without the rear frame section ^^

Image

Oil - Water heat exchanger.
Image

Moved spark distributor back - Space in the gearbox clutch housing for the RPM sensor of the EFI inj. - Hoses routing...

Image

Welding muffler ^^ The muffler is still the Flowmaster unit of the old DMCH exhaust. Lot of noise but quiter now with the turbos ^^

Image

Image

Rechecking distribution... very easier and quick now

Image

This is the actual resoult. I bought the V legend intake from Ed ;) ( still have to pay for it at the moment lol )
The air connection are temporary. I will be study a pair of chargecooler somewhere in the future...

Lot of hoses lol
Image
Added an oil cooler also. With lot of power the heat goes high ^^

For the EFI im using now the original Renix Fenix 3 injection. I runs nice but it is a very old and closed unit, so im going to replace it with something other. I worked to remap a later Fenix 3B but i still need some injection parts, and this will be the next work in the soon future.
Image

And finally the most important question...what about HP ?? ...still dont know, but it runs very nice... Surely more than 200hp at the engine, wich the Z7U started with... very fun to drive... video soon...but I want to make better the Injection with the new EFI...

IF someone has any question or want a particolar photo let me know...

I did the first 600km on the road yesterday with the new engine. Still lot to do but it works, gave nice power and fuel consuption ^^
Just a little problem with a damned oil supply line which began to drop for a defect and i did half the road smoking dropping oil on the exhaust doh...now resolved... but dont buy cheap oil radiator kit

Oh and by the way, while obsessed mainly by the car  i also have time for a nice girlfriend wich benefits greatly of the cute tshirt Maria make 8-) 8-) tnx !

Goin on with the works. Lot to do on a custom project...is never ended ^^

I did bought and put 2 heat exchanger, still to make a good water circuit for them tought.
I'm also now rerouting lot of hoses, cable, and things to make space.
I will put the alternator down left the compressor, no more up there, to make space and see the engine ! too much things there ^^

I did made new stainless hoses for the water, to have a better compact routing like the Legend turbo.
I also made 2 new SS tips for the flowmaster muffler.

And here the 2 new toys to replace the used and smokin one i was using ^^
This are 2 GT1548, little bigger then the 1544 i was using.
