Have you got your own blast cabinet too?

If so, you've got some very nice tools !

It's about time that we posted a little update on the restoration of VIN 3283, so here is the latest.
We removed all of the wheels, brake discs, brakes, suspension, rear hub carriers, upper and lower control arms and trailing arms for a complete overhaul.

We have blasted the parts to bare metal and painted ( mainly with POR15)
We have renewed the wheel bearings all round.

The anti roll bar has also been blasted and painted
Barry (DBro 2) has done a sterling job of descaling the chassis and undertaking weld repairs to a very high standard.
The engine is now jacked up and the new engine mounts are fitted.
We are about to overhaul all of the brake calipers with new seals and pistons all round
We have undertaken various wiring loom repairs
Tomorrow we will be replacing the drive shaft seals, auto sump gasket and giving the underneath another good clean prior to painting the chassis with POR15.
More photos and a further update to follow soon

Cheers

Mike
