Hello!

After a good run yesterday round Loch Lomond, I made it down to a mates in Kidderminster this evening. All in the car was pretty good I thought.

No cooling troubles, fans working (rad and cabin fan), no major leaks or crises.

I noticed the (new, about 500 miles ago) fuel pump was getting noisy for the last bit of slow urban running. Does everyone's do this, even with a new pump, in warm weather? Its a new pick up hose, and I put a spring up the middle.

Handling was good (ish  ) it now has no klanks or bangs, tracks nice and true, clutch and gearbox good too. I think the crossgate cable has settled a bit, as 1st and 2nd are at the extent of travel.

Presuming I get to London without the big yellow taxi, next on the list, and probably in this order

(wash it!!)
crossgate cable
fit rear headliner
AC recharge
fusebox
fit new (old) door trims
outer door seals
hood seal
rear crank seal (little weep)
fit new exhaust (realistically some way in the future, probably with the rear seal)

Of course, this has not considered the failures which will occur in the interim!!

Cheers, I feel quite pleased with myself. Time for a smug beer!

Shameless promotion for the current DeLorean Club Fuel Pump - exclusive to us, from Germany. No known failures, only good reports, and cheaper than the one Ken Mills sells. The Ken Mills one is built by them though, in the UK.

Interesting, I think mine came from ed, some time ago. Will have to check. Good price on the dcuk one arran.

Got back to London yesterday, no problem. No noisy fuel pump, but I think it wasn't as hot.

Plenty work to come! Pleased it's here tho, should be a bit easier to work on now!

Mike W and I did a fuel pressure on Andy's car at the popular October Tec event:

Unfortunately the Control Pressure was wrong.
So Andy, I've just overhauled your CPR:

Rusty diaphragm. Explains why the filter was also brown and rusty causing constricted flow :)
