Non identical, don't give a fuck! Its only us anoraks who notice these things!!
So this weekend, the fuel pump finally gave up the ghost. It started getting noisy after about 500 miles, and didn't get any better. However, the gods smile on me, as it finally died having just done a few hundred miles faultlessly to Amsterdam and back. And before that, Belfast, without too much in between.
It stuttered, but in thd space of about 3 miles it wouldn't run at all.
Taking the bull by the horns, I reaffixed the silicone outer door seal with Bond&Seal.
It came off in Belfast, having previously used Evostick, which seems ok on the other door.

(Mike, if you look carefully in that pic, your envious, october-car eyes will spot the badge-of-honour, early car production nuance, the "passenger side wash bottle hole". A lotus-derived policy to "add lightness" to the sportier early vins...
)
Stripped the rear springs to grease up all rubbers to cure a REALLY fucking annoying squeak, and tightened the screeching fanbelt, as this would probably help too...
I was also pleasantly surprised to see the oil still golden after the run to Ed's and back. A good sign, but fuck all good without a fuel pump.
Into the pump, all looked ok

But I didn't like the look of the R9 hose from AFS. I think substandard hose is a real problem... any else noticed so called ethanol resistant hose looking a bit ropey after a few years?

So, parts ordered, I'll do the pump and in-tank filter next weekend. I think I will replace the soft lines too... suppliers? May use this guy from the Scimitar club, who has a real bee in his bonnet about fuel hose, and reckons this genuine Cohline is best. Will have to check pressure specs...
