Thanks to Admin-Bloke yet again!
He has helped tune the DMC to a point where it is now firing at half a turn of my key, and idles perfectly - probably better than it did when it was shipped.
See pics of the thermistor change and obligatory rams head photoshoot!

No problem. 6 hours to do a full "Valley of death" sort out wasn't too bad.

Here's a list of what we did as a reminder:

Replaced that fuel pipe as it had a slight dribble
Replaced thermister for idle ecu and checked the resistance vs temp
Replaced vacuum pipes and checked full operation
Reassembled using clear instant gasket to supplement the O rings under inlet manifold and W pipe
Cleaned out the poppet valves in the throttle plate
Replaced Vac pipe to Charcoal canister
Replaced split vac pipe to Cpr
Set ignition timing from 20btdc to 13
Diagnosed operation of the distributor solenoid operation to a dirty throttle switch (cleaned with switch cleaner)
Reset the throttle adjustments and checked for throttle full opening for linkage operation
Set the fueling mixture adjustment

It definitely fires straight up on the key and sounds great compared to last year. (The replacement of the lambda relay cured the cause of over fueling)

I enjoyed the curry a couple of days afterwards, thank you for that :)

Left to do:

Fix slight leak from oil sump gasket
Replace Thermo-time switch on the water pump and check the cold start valve. (Verified that there was no voltage from the wiring to the plug in case it was modified by a previous owner)
Verify fuel pressures (although the engine sounds very good! )
Adjust valve clearances (I am picky)
Fit your new oxygen sensor and re do the fueling if required
Let me know what brand of starter motor is on it as it spins the nuts off even with the battery at 11.5v

Drive it and enjoy it for the rest of the summer :)

That is quite a list when it's laid out like that!
Thanks for the re-routing of all the wires, it looks a lot nicer now.
Also need to add to the left to do - fit a oxygen sensor - I had it in the car, but forgot it was there.

The meal was fantastic AB, must do again soon - after my Euro Trip!

Definitely :)

I've just added the Oxygen sensor to the above post.

A good productive day in the end
