Right all back together now
Took it to the wheel alignment centre in Southampton today and what an excellent job they did
Im very happy with the result, the car drives true and handles really well now
Big thanks to admin bloke for his tech assistance

You're welcome Dan.

I've got to say that is one of the best results I've seen on a geometry report. That result is more accurate than most new cars. Considering that you've reworked the rear, it's an excellent result.

I bet it drives a lot better than it originally was.
Looking at the before and after readings, I bet you could even tell the difference on the ride to the alignment place and back.

Great work

I'm going to do some investigation into the rear suspension on my car this Saturday.

The front end is tight as a drum as I have just done a major overhaul, but the back end feels so disjointed and it's like it is drifting all over the place, it makes for a very uneasy driving experience.

I am hoping that it may be an alignment issue, the TABs were changed about 5years ago to the stronger inconel tabs, I then had a 4wheel alignment done at which point the car handled really quite well. I am now wondering if a shim has fallen out of the TAB joint resulting in play in the suspension.

It sounds like the OP had some very similar characteristics.

James

Nice work Dan, I'll be looking forward to treating mine to an alignment once my new suspension parts have arrived and have been fitted.

Did you change the trailing (radius) arm bushes when you changed the TABs?

Hi Dan, I noticed you have changed the bolts for the driveshafts to cap heads. Where did you get those? The standard hex heads are a pain in the arse to do up as you can't get a socket on them I found.

Well spotted guys
That is one of the Dmods I have tried out for the club
Yes they are a pain with hex head and these cap heads are much easier to work with
You will be able to buy them from the club soon

Cheers

Dan
