I reached the photo upload limit of 30 :o but lets continue!

What's that "what about the frame on the underside!?" haha, I didn't forget

Ooooooo, nearly forgot! While looking at new bits for my interior, because that also needs seeing too, I got talking too a leather upholsterer and he was up for doing my entire interior. So then came the removal, right in the middle of me doing everything else!

So with that all removed and sent away I then continued on with the cooling, suspension and brakes
Also whilst all this was happening I'd sent away all of my suspension components to be stripped and powder coated. And with a load of new bits started the reassembly!

And it started with in famous lower ball joints! :violin:

Then came the cooling. With new radiator, fans but luckily my condenser was good! ARB, shock etc.

Then, as the lower arm is an absolute b***h to remove, I thought I'd better renew everything on it. So came the removel of the.......powder coated baked into place bush. Not fun.

And whilst I was busy, my brother Alex decided to make a start on my 2.7 engine rebuild

I then got carried away, not taking many pictures of my progress, because it then all came together at the front with new springs, refurbed steering rack etc. A nice leap forwards

And then brake calipers needed a complete rebuild, and they were disgusting!

And with a real good clean and paint they look pucker! And the gold is just to replicate the original yellow/gold plating 8-)

Then the new internals, seals etc.

A little comparison, before and after

On to the car it went! With new pads

Then my brother continued with my engine. We decided to test the head gaskets and the liner gaskets while it was out of the car, by filling the block with coolant. And lucky we did! The bleeding head gaskets literally bled, they leaked so we had to empty the engine of coolant. There was no easy way to do this because as usual the little side plugs/holes for releasing coolant were stuck so........

So this is were I am right now. I guess people won't be impressed by my speed, almost glacial  haha. But the frame took an absolute life age to do, losing the will to live etc but hey ho

I'll update this sooner next time so it doesn't take up most of my day haha 8-)

Massively impressive work - HUGE amounts done there - especially when you consider that any job takes 3x longer on a DeLorean than it has any right to do.

Did you face any problems with corrosion getting everything apart? What's your previous resto experience? Is your D the first or do you have history? :D

The CV bolts were rock hard! Almost round a couple of them off, but luckily not! I've got a lovely set of Dbolts waiting on the shelf so
And of course the hub nut. Solid! I guess I'm not totally weak haha
So yeah apart from those, everything came apart rather splendidly

Loving the photo' s and seeing bits I didn't know existed. I wouldn't be able to sleep with the car in that many pieces, your a brave man.

Keep up the great work.
