Only if the car is driven anywhere, which is highly unlikely if the owner actually wanted to get somewhere ;)

OK, well on the end of the bolt or nuts which were messed with in the recall. Would be sufficient. Engine bay just reeks of slapdash who gives a fuck... If I've just bought a premium car, would I want the dealer splashing paint randomly round in there?!

Did some work to the car today. Anybody also has cruise control on his D? The part where you set the speed is missing and alot of wires hanging under the steering colum. I think I better remove it and clean up the engine bay.
Other things that needs fixing are:
Door locks
Torsion bars need adjusting, doors go up to fast.
Clutch cilinder near pedal is leaking
Replace louvre struts
Steering wheel colum bushing needs to be replaced
Change headlights
Replace dust covers ( rubber boot) on steering rack.
Check suspension parts and brakes
I am sure the list wil grow if i start working on the car, but that is half the fun of owning a classic car.
Not many worn parts, the car only has 12000 miles.

Hi Dan
It is a manual with a gray interior and a gas flap hood .
Okt.1981
Looking at the picture it can use a wash, I gues the po had a cat that walked over the hood and put some mud on it.
Anyway I make it ready for mot first.

Hey Coen,

I'm a DeLorean owner since 1999, and I live in the Hague!

Hi Rob,
Have already seen many of your post here and on the Dutch forum. Very helpfull. I might have a few questions when I start working on my door locks! Not that good with the electronic stuf.
I live in Zierikzee, not sure if there are any Deloreans left in this region, there used to 2 that I knew of.
Have had interest in a D for a long time, but I don't realy fit inside because I am tall. But last year I decided to buy on anyway!

Dan,
I don't think mine is suposed to have a gas flap hood. The po told me that the guy he bought it from swaped the hood.
Not sure if this guy was the first owner. I do know that this guy wrote a delorean technical manual.
You can see this book in the trunk of my car. I got it as part of the deal. Anybody also has this manual from eNovel?
