I purchased my first D about 3 years ago and it was a barn find in need of a total rebuild. The car was shipped over from Beverly Hills Car Club and arrived a couple of months later. It was surprisingly complete, although in a very poor state. Wiring chewed through by mice, interior in need of total replacement, seized engine, and of course, a horrific chassis underneath it.
Finally I got the machine dismantled and the chassis has been stripped and loads of fabrication work done. It has just been delivered back after powder coating and waxoyl treatment, ready for me to start bolting it back together.
I'll keep adding stuff to this as I continue the project, I hope you enjoy!

Where did you get the chassis stripped and then subsequently powder coated/waxoyled? I had to do a body off chassis resto a couple of years ago - was a mission!

And here is how it is now.
I would probably say the underside closing plate is the most impressive. They didn't want to just make a flat one so hand hammered the new one to be an exact match. I told them they should probably make a couple of extra ones just to sell on as they look great!
