As Nick said, that is a common upgrade. However it would be better/safer to have the revised version of the jumper wire, which has a fuse covering each fan.

Thanks Mike, what size fuse are you running?

My order for a new thermostat, otterstat and relay turned up so they all got installed last night with great success, so far everything works as it should, temp gauge now works and the fans come on when the engine gets up to temp so i am very happy!

Also got my hands on a bunch of old stock wolf head sander units from a supplier of mine for a box of beer! so i'll see how that goes

That looks an interesting electric mod for the fans nice one!

The wolf heads - is that the piece that holds the strips of abrasive and scotch brite - or the full tool?

Hi Spud, just the head at the mo but i'm working on a complete tool, i can get the tool to drive it but its about 650 south pacific peso's
