Just ticked over the big 40,000 miles ! Only two items left on the list :

1) To change the exhaust system, the manifold has now been water cut, and will be fitted in the next few weeks along with a 2.5" stainless system

2) Re-grain and all dents removed (I'm sure every show seems to add another dent to the list)

:) What about the cams/tappets? Or is the idea to fit a loud exhaust so that you can't hear them?

That sounds like a major engine problem

You guessed correctly Mike ! ... think the worn cam is dragging the performance
right down, it even struggles to climb hills . But 'engine out' is not an appealing thought ....

I don't think it's a worn cam either

Alex could take the car off you and take the engine out and see where you are?

If you keep driving it you risk making it a lot worse
