So much for fitting the "little bleeder" !!!!

Will you get a new style rad?

I will have a spare original rad soon - I have the new one ready to fit in - I'm just using the old one to get the car up n running.

Get a new one - they are supposed to be more efficient?

In the process of replacing that little hose, I broke the plastic fitting on the radiator. I did add a little bleeder valve, but the hose had to be replaced anyway.

I'll drop the rad pack, it gives me a great opportunity to check the fans too. I can not imagine that they work.

When I removed my hose I used some heat from a hot air gun - it helped - but this is of no use to you now - maybe a useful tip for anybody contemplating removing this hose?
Some wd40 may help a bit too.

I know this is no use to you now but for others in future if there is enough length in the hose, it may be worth sacrificing the end of it and cut a slit up the side so it relives the pressure off the fitting, once its off then then cut the end off to create a fresh end to re attach later, just a thought

Ohhh, more than 3 months of silence here. I got the new rad half way in, replaced a rad bracket and the horns, cleaned all the electric connectors up in the front area and got the recall brackets ready to install. I also got new indicator lights with wiring, and front lowering springs. The latter not installed yet. All parts from DeloreanGo.

The truth is that I spent forever trying to fix my daily driver, and brilliantly failing at it... So I got sick of fixing old cars.

I guess we´re aiming for the 2020 season now, unless something spectacular happens.
