Got to finally take off the windscreen washer fluid cover and after putting up a big fight with more spinning rivnuts - have I mentioned them already! .
Very hard to access the bolts on one side cause of the weird shape of the resovier cover and the body as it slopes over it. Even with a dremel it was tough to access it properly, but patience it finally gave way..
Now I know why I have a modified aftermarket washer pump the original one must have given up as one of the power wires was disconnected from the 2 pin plug - that's a 17 year wonderment solved
I'll test the motor and see if it ll come back to life
