Christ Mec! I know you wanted to save the original frame, but given the state of it would it not be more wise to cut your losses on it and invest in a new frame from Alex?

Hi Gez

Alex is hopeful to get it done before Christmas, so assuming all goes to plan then reassembly should start soon after that fingers crossed

just had a look at the phots mec i have never seen a frame so bad ; best of luck i no what its like just got the mini finished in top coat paint it a body problem and we have just had to re jig the rear quarter new panels etc again. but it will get there just like your d. i have some of the 2 part colour for the frame some were let know if some time malc.

Yea it is pretty bad Malc, its all happening though, progressing well, sorry to hear you have had to redo the mini again! I cant wait to see it ! Hopefully see you soon ! :thumbsup:

Hi All
update time, things have been progressing well both with me doing bits and bobs my end and also with repairs to the chassis, many parts have been reinforced with new welds where the old ones had failed, all the old rubbish repairs have now been banished to the bin and many of then have now been repaired properly.
Whilst this has been going on, another batch of parts have been sent to the powder coaters and i have been doing some cleaning to the underside of the tub in preparation, I have also started cleaning the engine block in prep for all new gaskets...
