I bought one of those Gunston pressure bleeders. Dead cheap & work mint, you just connect it to you tyre valve & can do it on your own easy

Mine too is completely empty. Did you do this on your own? And did you use more than 1ltr of dot4?

I seem to remember that none of the dummy caps supplied with the Gunson kit fitted the D?

I also ended up doing it the 2 man way.

Given the work done, new hoses etc I would keep a careful eye for leaks at the new unions under pressure.

Brakes have now been bled and golly gosh they work lovely. Yay! Gotta be careful till the pads are worn in.

The handbrake, what a POS that is. Ive got it now so pretty much the full pad touches the disc. I cant roll the car on the drive but will it be good enough to pass the MOT, we will see. I had to file down 1 pad on each side (the inner ones) and adjust the cable on one side. I can now honestly say i am a master at removing the handbrake and reattaching it.

So all thats left now is the fog light. Im about to start a new job tomorrow so its looking like i wont get round to that till next weekend. I may find some time during the week but doesnt matter as I wont put the car through an MOT till the first pay day anyway.

So the car will be attending the october meetup as long as it stays running :D
