After 25 years of dreaming about owning one, I’ve finally gone and done it. Vin 2710 is on the water from the states and heading to Blighty as we speak. Looking forward to learning from you guys and hoping meeting up with you, providing it runs ok!

Take care

Hello and welcome.

BHCC car or private? Any pics?

We have a meetup scheduled for the weekend starting the 11th march. Car or no car, come down. Youll be able to look over multiple other cars and ask all the questions you want. We're a friendly enough bunch

Thank you. I would love that but unfortunately ately away that weekend. I’ll definitely be there for the next one.

Not sure what Bhcc is? Just looked it up and it said Brighton and hove city council! ;-) So therefore as I don’t know I must be private.

As soon as it’s here I’ll send over pics, 13k miles, 81 black interior.

Nice. 13k miles! Do you know if its a runner or not? I suspect there will be some work to do but then thats half the fun of ownership.

BHCC is the Beverley Hills Car Club.

Ahhh yes BHCC. Yep they told me it’s a runner but agree part of the fun will be working on it for the next 20 years! My massive issue there is I have very little car knowledge so every day is going to be a school day here!

Theyre relatively easy cars to work on. Mostly just nuts and bolts but if the car can fight back it usually will. Youre in the right place and between most of us, there isnt a job someone hasnt done.
My car was a non runner and i got mine running and road legal myself and my history before that was an oil change. Youll be fine.
