Almost :| He used a spray gun.
We misunderstood, because I thought he would have paint them and use an over to dry the paint, but no.
I will see how long it will last...

I ordered two new bold from the club to replace them, but unfortunately the size isn’t really the same diameter.

They are tapered - i.e. the end has a smaller diameter than the middle. Are the number of threads the same on the old vs new? Your old ones don't look original.

Yes, same length
I've never changed them, so I guess there are original?

If the square bit is precisely 10mm, then they are original, if it isn't, then not.

Here is what I mean by tapered. As long as the thread pitch is correct - i.e. the number of threads per inch, then the diameter doesn't matter unless you are measuring at precisely the same point, you screw it in until it stops.

Yes the square of the old ones is 10mm, but not the new ones.

Correct - that's how you can spot the difference, it doesn't affect the operation of course.
