Mate, to be honest you'd be lucky if anybody lends/hires you a car. As far as know nobody in the club hires them out for self drive, you MIGHT tempt someone with enough money to lend you one, but the odds are slim. Don't take it the wrong way as nobody is willing to help you, but they are 33 years old and spares are getting more and more scarce, and as they are an enthusiasts vehicle, they usually are the owners pride and joy. The amount of time and money I have spent on mine I wouldn't even let the misses take it out. Sorry.

Kenny's asking on behalf of someone who's emailed him, and won't see your reply Jason.
But Kenny, Jason's right, there is no one that does self drive (anymore) - it's been asked many times but never any takers.

I was lucky enough to do the self-hire down in the Cotswolds whilst it was still available, and it convinced me to go out and buy my own DeLorean. So I have a certain amount of sympathy with the folks looking to do it... but I doubt anyone would offer enough money to convince me.

Now if they just wanted a ride in one, I'm only about an hour and a half from Glasgow...

I regret nothing! The only problems I've had since purchasing were the leaky drivers door... and the leaky windscreen... and the handbrake... and the door locks... and the electrics... and the accumulator... and windscreen washer... and the wipers... and the oil leak...

The one I rented was a fine example; I only got locked in the car once!

The one you rented was a 'sorted' car as best it can be!
