Someone just called me about this, well done all of you...not to everyone's cup of tea (unless you have an AUTO)

Not for the first time you have been wishing you had a might AUTO :)

Some questions, if you can answer them:

How long ago did Uber set this up with you guys?
How did you get info as to where you had to pick up clients?
How many people did you treat to a ride?
Did they get a choice of a BTTF car or a standard car, or was it luck-of-the-draw?
I assume you were compensated - how did they cover insurance?
How many miles did you cover? Who covered the most miles?

About 6 weeks ago - the request is on this forum....., just well hidden

Dangermouse wrote:How did you get info as to where you had to pick up clients?
Using the Uber Driver's App on the device they gave us (an iPhone). The client had to enter a code into the Uber app, request a pickup - that then beeps the nearest one - we then press accept then follow it's built-in sat nav to get to them. Usually when we got near them there would be a crowd of people waiting with phones etc.

Dangermouse wrote:How many people did you treat to a ride?
I did the most at 7 - mainly because my "patch" was right next to our initial meeting point - others varied

Dangermouse wrote:Did they get a choice of a BTTF car or a standard car, or was it luck-of-the-draw?
They were all standard, the stuff in the video was filmed a couple of weeks ago.

Dangermouse wrote:I assume you were compensated - how did they cover insurance?
They have the mother of all insurance policies, then there were loads of checks (including for criminal records) and paperwork exercises

Dangermouse wrote:How many miles did you cover? Who covered the most miles?
Other than getting to London - not sure. We essentially had to get to an area of London, then drive around it in circles for about 4 hours. Traffic was pretty bad (of course), and I don't think we ever got out of 2nd gear - mainly 1st in fact.
