Interesting Kevin, I wonder what it will reach...have to keep an eye on the auction.

Dermot, the car that Ernie painted red was Vin 11622, which I owned at one point, which has been returned to stainless..another was painted green which is still green and in Belfast, another was cream location unknown AFAIK.

I knew about those three (I finally saw a picture of the green one in an old Delorean World recently - nice)

I just wondered how many people in NI were doing great paint jobs on Deloreans in that time frame and perhaps there had been a 4th.

Its possible but they wouldnt have been painted by Ernie Hewitt, I tracked him down in 2002, he was working as an assessor for Norwich Union.

He remembered painting the cars very well, and saiod it was definitely only three he painted.

Well obviously he would know... :D

Wonder where it was painted.
