Hey all,

I'm sure some of you probably know Mike from the DOC. I've haven't met him yet myself, but he's just put his D up for sale. Details here:

Does anyone know this car. It seems from the photos that its been at a few events. If so, what's it like? Feel free to drop a reply or PM me. As always, any advice soundly appreciated :)

Cheers!

That has to be one of the cleanest engine bays I've ever seen  (I guess that's thanks to it being in a museum in the past and dedication from the owner ^^)

Then again, low mileage can be bad if its just been sitting in a museum for years without running (he even states it had the original tyres on it from 1981 when he bought it).... but if the current owner has done the necessary work to return it to a good standard (like replace the fuel lines, etc) it should be fine.

I love the condition of the exterior and the interior :D

I know the car from when Ian Titley owned it a few owners back, a very nice car! As been mentioned was in a museum for several years and one of the reasons Ian sold it was it was he felt it was too nice, nothing needed doing to it. Not seen it for a while although I did see it briefly when the current owner brought it to Caley Hall a few years back.

My impression of the car is that it's a very tidy original car. So it depends on the kind of car you want. If you want to be making certain upgrades to a car (i.e. Spax / stainless exhaust / stereo etc) then this might be an expensive way round of doing it. But if you want something very original then it might be a good bet if you've got the cash.

Personally I wanted to do quite a few 'improvements' to my car so it made sense to buy a shitter rather than a concours ready example.
