That's right, vin 3696.

Presumably one of the ones Al was talking about, that has come out of storage, in this case 14 years.

From the Ad:

You are looking at my 1981 Delorean DMC-12.

I purchased this car personally from the USA in late 1989.

It was originally bought new by a Mr Appel in New York for his wife on the 20/11/1981. She was the only owner in America, I purchased it from her in late 1989 and have been the only owner since.

It was registered in the UK on the 01/01/1990.

Since entering the UK the car has spent all it's life in a garage apart from a couple of weeks use in 1990 and being used in a commercial in about 1997.

The registration on the car is the number used on the car for the commercial and not the real number.

The registration number is YTJ 495W, chassis number scedt26tobd003696, engine number d003696.

The car will obviously need a gentle recommissioning to get it back on the road. It drove into the garage perfectly in 1997 and has not turned a wheel since.

I have a stack of receipts for the car including the original bill of sale from Goldsmith Cadillac in NY for $35092.80, pdi receipts, service receipts, the original American title document, shipping receipts, v5, etc.

This is a rare chance to purchase a very low mileage (7693) Delorean in totally standard factory condition, it still has the four original Dunlops on!!!I am open to offers for the car as is, or would consider recommissioning for someone when I have the time

No Dermot, thats another one!!

Amazing these cars are finally seeing the light of day again.

Not sure on the £15k price tag, as brakes, full service, tyres, probably exhaust gaskets....could all add up as we all know!

You don't want to meet my sister. She's a bloke (male), two years older. uglier, married, father of one, etc. Also not for sale as far as I know.

How could an owner drive a car "perfectly" into his garage 14 years ago and just leave it there? Surely he could have started the engine every few weeks, rolled it out on the driveway etc? Its' not like you could forget you had a delorean sitting in your garage?
He's overdone it with the photos in his advert......

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum but as I'm seriously looking for a car I wondered if anyone had any contact details for contacting it's owner... ;)
