Finally Caved; Looking to Purchase a DeLorean

I recently had a chance to drive the DMC-12 rental car available in the Cotswolds and confirmed my lifelong love for the wonderful machines! This now makes me yearn to own one of my own, and as such I felt the best place to begin would be here!

I'm looking for a LHD with Manual Transmission, preferably with the grey interior, which seems to put me out of luck for cars currently available closer to home :( I would consider importing, but I lack the proper facilities to deal with/store the car whilst getting it road legal in the UK so I'm worried about the additional costs eating in to my actual car budget.

Looks the excellent idea of hiring a DeLorean is working!

Welcome!

Al/Mike, by chance do you have the contact details for John? (sorry I don't have his last name) he owns WPC 246X, VIN# 06424. I've met him a couple of times at the Brooklands Classic Car mornings, and on each ocassion he has mentioned selling his car, so he may be worth approaching.

John Dennys - I have his number if you need it - spoken to him a couple of times - although set aside an hour if you're going to phone...... ;)

So quite similar to phoning Dave H then ;)

It was just a thought, since he'd mentioned selling a couple of times, and in fact he did enter his car into an auction in December (it didn't meet the reserve though).

Thanks Chaps! I wasn't quite expecting a response this fast, so this is all very exciting :D

I'll set aside some time to give him a bell over the long-weekend and see if anything can be worked out.

I think that only Delorean, and future owners are allowed to post on this Forum from now on!!!
