First registered last year !

05598

This car has automatic transmission and the popular Grey interior, but a unique story to tell. Manufactured in
1981, it was the first of 11 DMC-12s to be purchased from DeLorean's receiver at a BCA auction at
Blackbushe in 1982 and has remained in the same ownership ever since. Unregistered until this year, it has
covered just 326 miles to date and is therefore presented in as-new condition

I wonder if it runs? Only worth the money as a concours or museum car IMO. Otherwise knock £10k off and get spending, starting with those tyres!

I was wondering about the tyres.

Would you pass an MOT with 30 year old tyres, even if they looked to be unused?

Yeh, defo nothing in mot about tyre age, only condition. If there are no cracks in the side walls etc, perfectly mot exceptable. Wanting to drive it with them on, is another story.

it all depends how it's been stored, believe it or not it's the sun that knackers most things on a car against other weathers. If it's been dry stored and the tyres have been kept inflated or the car has sat on axle stands, then there is no reason why the tyres should be changed

So do you think the car would have been more valuable if it hadn't been registered at all?

I wonder what convinced the PO to MOT it?

Was this one of the ones AVan mentioned at the end of last year that were being brought out of storage?

Agreed .. rock hard .. flat spotted 30 year old tyres at 60 mph is not a good thought ..

As a garage trophy it's a lovely mint car however one that you can actually drive day in day out .. Well that's a different story ...
