Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and a long time DeLorean fan that has been keeping an eye on what's available to buy for a while. I'm getting a little more serious about finding myself the right De now and have been regularly searching ebay in the US and classics sites here in the UK.

I just found this on ebay (USA) and thought you chaps might be interested in a project:

I'm learning a lot from reading the threads on here, great resource for DeLorean owners and fans :)

Cheers,

K

Think $8.5k is probably a bit rich for this car. Wouldn't go more than $6-7k for a non-runner in this kind of condition.

I thought that too. Not the kind of money I'd want to pay for a resto that I then had to ship to the UK. But I'm no expert, good to know max for a non-runner tho :)

As someone in the US forum said- it looks like a bear got loose in the interior.

I won't say it's way overpriced, as $8500 is just what some lucky person bid, but looks like the seller will luck out big-time. I wouldn't pay half that for the car with the "easy-to-fix" water pump, and "engine didn't overheat - honest guv"

If things are so "easy to fix" then why don'y sellers fix it and then get more for a fully working thing !

Car is here now and locked away while I wait for Dave H to send my parts list. Looks like I got luck car is actually in great shape other than the sun ravished interior.

Everything is very original and unspoilt, lots of history and money spent in the past?

It already looks better with 4 new tyres....
