Hi Guys,

How is best in the group to have a chat with about the import process and how to make it go as smoothly as possible. Think I may have found the right car, Just want to be sure im ticking all the right boxes.

Just don't be under any illusions that a USA car is going to be tip top. Be prepared to spend a few thousand on it once it's here, whatever its current alleged condition.

And the currency rate , I reckon about 1.45 to the pound , don't go by currency converter it doesn't work out the same TT

The current Visa rate including a bank loading is:
1 POUND STERLING = 1.443149 UNITED STATES DOLLAR

A bank/wire transfer would be a bit better than that though.

So in short, Tony's right

And I did that without swearing
My de came in at $1.78 to the £ how times have changed
But on a happier note it stops too many coming over and flooding the market

Stupid exchange rate, strength of pound!

Mine was over $2.00 makes a hell of a difference

I got 1.47 $ to £ - but then VAT was only 15% at the time so that helped.
