Please PM me for me details / if interested.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12
VIN 4934
Grey interior
Manual transmission
Approximately 7,500 miles
Excellent condition

I am selling this DeLorean on behalf of the current owner who purchased this car back in the summer of 2011. Prior to this the car was on display at the Bentley Wildlife Museum in England from 24/5/1993 until 5/3/2011. After sitting for almost 20 years, a major re-commissioning of the car was undertaken. The invoices detailing several thousand pounds of work are included, but to summarize they include:
• Brake overhaul including callipers/pads/discs, hydraulics and hoses
• K-JET overhaul including new fuel tank and sender
• Clutch hydraulics replaced
• UK headlights
• Stainless coolant bottle
• Headliners recovered
• Central locking module rebuilt (original solenoids ok)
• Extensive engine service carried out

A car like this deserves to be driven; due to the owners time abroad, he simply doesn’t get the opportunity to use it frequently. This is evident in that the car only completed approximately 2,500 miles between 2011-2014. The jump to 7,500 was from a trip to Spain in 2014

MOT certs for the following are included:
Jan 15th 1991 – Mileage 2,801
May 5th 2011 – Mileage 2,816
Jan 12th 2013 – Mileage 5,071
May 10th 2014 – Mileage 5,338

A full MOT will be included as part of sale.

Engine and fuelling
- Runs very strong, evidently had the complete K-Jet system refurbished/replaced in 2011.
- All rubber coolant hoses replaced for silicone
- Upgraded stainless coolant bottle
- Warms up and cools down as it should
- 8/3/2015 the car had oil, oil filter replaced

Electrical
- All instruments, lights, switches in working order.
- Upgraded window motors
- Integrated fog light into rear light cluster
- Halo front lights
- Central locking module rebuilt
- Parrot hands-free system fitted
- Battery cut-of switch
- New battery fitted summer 2014

Gearbox
- Shifts very well, no crunches or grinding

Brakes and wheels
- Wheels all in good condition with as new tyres
- Brakes were replaced in 2011, as a result all pads and discs show minimal wear

Suspension and Steering
- Running original front + rear springs – has not been lowered or altered in any way
- New track rod ends fitted 8/3/2015
- Has the recall to the front frame extension
- Angle drive + dustcap replaced on 8/3/2015 (n.b. the previous angle drive was still running the speedo – it was replaced due to a clicking noise)

Air-con
- In full working order, blowing cold - converted to R134a
- Mode switch rebuilt in 2011

Frame and Body
- The stainless bodywork is exceptional, with the panel fitment as good as they come
- Recent torsion bar adjustment, therefore the doors are both opening and closing perfectly
- Front and rear fascias are also flawless and they fit really well against the stainless panels
- The frame is solid owing to its time spend in the museum and low miles. Would perhaps benefit from a wax-oiling to preserve this.

Interior
- The seat covers are original - no rips or tears
- Dash and binnacle show no fading or cracks
- Interior clock works
- Fog light operated using an original toggle switch
- Door cards are in great order
- Headlining has been redone
- Trip reset switch still intact, missing on some

Please remember that this car is almost 34 years old; with that in mind, some negative points:
- The wheels are in great condition overall with no buckles but there is light kerbing to the front left.
- There is a slight oil weep from the gearbox

The car is located in Belfast city centre and is therefore close to the air and sea ports.

Viewing is recommended; I would be happy to collect any interested party from the air/sea port.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions / queries and I will do my best to answer them.

Proof of insurance and Full Driver’s License must be provided before any test drives take place.

Please note, the pictures below are from 2011. Recent pictures will be uploaded ASAP

This car is now no longer for sale. It just left Belfast today for sunny Florida. Couldn't be too many going back to the states.

Thanks

Really? That's very surprising.

Equivalent of $55,000 + export/transport costs. To Florida. Home of, well, DMC Florida.
