Hi Alistair.

EssexTradeCars had nothing to do with asking Essex Live to attend the sale, and can only assume that Aston Barclay asked them to? I don't feel we need to justify "who's telling the truth" here either. The vehicle is in my possession, at EssexTradeCars, where it will remain until sold, and there were no purchasers as first thought!? I would be happy to meet "the new supposed owner," together with Essex Live with a camera, and yourself as a leading member of the DeLorean Club, to see who is telling the truth here, but I doubt the New owner will attend?
The provisional bidder was a waist of space, out for a bit of self indulgence, & 1 minute of fame, claiming that he would have raised his bid to 40K! So I ask the question.... why didn't he pay the 32k reserve price then, being that he was so keen to purchase it, because he had the hump!? (I don't think so!) I hope to bump into this so called trader at auction one day, so I can "give him some feedback" myself! Maybe your member that knows him, can pass my thoughts on to him :) Kindest, Nigel.

Hi Alastair.

As you are already aware, we did as you suggested this AM, and filed a complaint of miss representation on the story of our vehicle. Simon (editor) at Essex Live, called me after speaking with Aston Barclay, and now "the real events of the auction" have been published for all to read, (including Billy Lier!) :) I do hope that you can all now see there there was no publicity stunt, and we put our car in the auction in good faith.

Nice to see that your on the ball though Alistair!

Hi Alistair. Some SAD news..... The Delorean was SOLD to a Collector today! He paid us what we asked, and has left a sizable non-refundable cash deposit, so it looks like our part of the story ends here? We were thrilled at the sale of the car, but in a funny way, we will both miss the amazing attention that driving one of these iconic cars can bring! I wish you all the very best, and still think your cars will slowly climb in value! "Who was it in the club who said we wouldn't get mis thirties for ours? Vehicle now removed from sale, & our website!

Cheers Alistair!

Nigel.

That's great news Freddy, well done
No one said you wouldn't get mid thirties , you had an offer of £34k

It was the £40k which was probably a bit optimistic

Cheers guys, I'm going to miss it that's for sure! I will 100% buy another should I come across one at classic auction etc..

In the meantime, I will keep looking at your forum, "as really enjoyed the banter!"

Kindest regards,
Nigel.
