I watched the auction online - everything was miles off guide price (if they even got 75% of the way there that was a result), plenty of lots not making reserve. Can only imagine the political and economic uncertainty at the moment means the market for classics has gone a bit soft.

The DeLorean did far better than most - £38,940 including auction fees and VAT.

Gez,
The car didn’t sell!!!
I’m pissed off because potential buyers will think it has.
There was a glitch with the bidding software that showed it as sold . The highest bid was £33k and that was nowhere near my reserve.

Still for sale

Cheers
Dan

Aargh - sorry Dan. Watching the auction it seemed like the hammer went down on it!

But I agree - car worth much more than £33k. I suspect that £6k of auction fees and VAT makes the gap between buyer and seller too big.

Ideally the buyer who was prepared to spend that much through the auction should contact you direct and put that in your pocket? Maybe that way you’d get a sale!

Glad you got a sale in the end Dan - and goes to show that £40k+ isn't an anomaly for a nice car, given the one at auction that sold for that last year too.
