Excuse me for bringing this up, but all that Driver side/Passenger side sounds clear to me, how does it become clear to you with all you folks driving on the other side of the road in cars where driver side becomes passenger side and vice versa. Why don't you just call it Left or Right, right?

Is that right as you're looking at it from the front, or right as you're looking at from the back?

right would be left from the drivers side if you are standing in the front, or right of the drivers side if stand at the back of the car.

left would be right from the drivers side if you consider the drivers side on the left and you would be standing in front of the car, looking towards the back, which is actually the farthest bit of the car if you stand on the long end of the car where the engine is not.

Did that clear it up?
