The club will stock the lower speedo cables - just waiting for them to land, and I will get them listed up. I have no idea how long this will take, because Speedograph Richfield can be a bit "eccentric" to deal with at times.....! :D

Arran are we getting standard bottom cables, or long ones to go straight to the speedo to bypass the service counter?

Hmmm - well..... They have no record of your template Dan, nor anyone called Dan or Stacey ever ordering from them, so they could only do it with a template. This service is still available to anyone - just phone up Speedograph and send in your old cables.
They had heard of Julian though, and are sending out a batch of lower cables, just so we've got them in stock. If/when someone wants a non-lambda cable, then then can do the hard work and we'll just tag on the back of that order! 8-)
So, in short, what we've got, or will have, is an "original style" lower speedo cable.

It was a while ago I ordered it, I'm suprised they don't remember because I sent them a sample and they returned it. I stil have the sample so if anyone wants long cables making up they can use it.

I recomend it because who needs a service interval light to come on every 30k on these cars..., its just extra drag on the angle drive for no reason.

Good point Al ... could it just be the wiring to it ?

Must say, I found them very quick. The cable was back within 48hrs or so, from memory. Dead right money too.

Initial contact 5 weeks ago, 3 days to get a reply saying they have never heard of a DeLorean, or anyone called Dan or Julian ever ordering from them! Then 5 more days to reply saying that actually they did do a cable for Julian (this was 23rd March). Then 8 more days to get a price, 1 more day to get the price lowered for a bulk order, we phoned up and paid there and then. This was 1st April. I think they must have thought it was an April Fool's joke, because 3 weeks after paying they still haven't come! So far 11 emails and 5 phone calls.
If we do ever get them though it will save anyone else this hassle, and will be about half the price of the DMC equivalents.

I can imagine though that if you send them an old cable, they've got the cable right in front of them, and they'd probably just get on and do it. And for that, it seems a very good service for such little money.
